What is anthropic principle
The mass of elementary particles, such as protons, neutrons and electrons, is very precisely calibrated to maintain the stability of atoms and molecules. Earth's chemical composition provides unique conditions for the development and maintenance of life. Earth is also at the perfect distance from the Sun for life to exist on it. Our position in the Galaxy is also very favorable for a number of reasons. The Sun is a stable star. Earth has a protective atmosphere and magnetic field. It is also chemically diverse and has favorable geological conditions. And so on and so forth.
All of this can lead to conclusions about the extremely low probability of life arising on our planet. There may also be a temptation to think that everything is arranged so that life would arise on Earth. One could go further and bring divine intervention into this.
But here one should remember the anthropic principle, according to which an observer must take their existence into account when analyzing such things. Life could indeed have arisen only on our planet in the entire Universe, and even in multiple universes, but all of this was not specially selected for us - it just happened that thanks to the gigantic number of planets, stars and galaxies, life was still able to arise, and we - the observers - now look and marvel at "how wonderfully everything is selected."
One can take anatomy and the structure of the hand as an example, and marvel at how perfectly the hand is designed for our life. But it should be taken into account that our life would probably have been impossible if the hand had a different structure.
